Miscellaneous Writings
NEW! RFID: Radio Frequency Identification or Rottenness Found in Denmark?: A research paper for my master's degree. Lots of interesting information, and written in a style that's not too academic, if I do say so, myself.
Intro
to Media Literacy Video: The Introduction
to Media Literacy video is a brief primer
to media literacy, covering such topics
as a definition for media literacy, what
media is, propaganda, censorship, and bias.
The video also details media ownership,
media funding, and the five filters to
media content as discussed by Chomsky and
Herman in Manufacturing
Consent. Lastly,
the video gives brief examples of how Chomsky
and Herman's five filters, propaganda,
censorship, bias, media ownership, and
media funding factor into real life examples
of how media and its presentation of ideas,
things, and people attempts to influence
our opinions, and how media literacy can
lessen this impact.
Though not, technically,
writing, I did write the script and produce
this video for a recent class. WARNING:
file is 115MB and may take quite some time
to download on slower connections!

No Bryophytic Plantlife. A poem about a true incident in my Dad's life. The

rolling stone gathers no moss."
The Daughter of the Moon. A pantoum poem based on the Night Cries legend.

* This link is actually describing a polemic, not a reverse polemic. A reverse polemic is the same idea, though, except that, to defend your idea, you attack it.
